The Wondrful Gazonks were led to their 4 point victory by a 14 point effort from the Baltimore Ravens Defensive Team. With this performance, the Ravens was the number 2 ranked defensive team for week 3. They also got help from a 9 point effort from Derek Anderson, who snuck past the Baltimore Ravens defense for 125 passing yards and 1 passing td in addition to 2 rushing yards.
“I’m speechless,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.
Vinny’s Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Dallas Cowboys defense for 290 passing yards in addition to 10 rushing yards. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 6 ranked quarterback for week 3. They also got help from a 9 point effort from Nick Folk, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 2 field goals made and 3 extra points.
“The final score is the only statistic that matters,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
Adding salt to the wound, Vinny’s Gang could have scored 62 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Jon Steffan left key players like Laveranues Coles and his corresponding 13 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Wondrful Gazonks to 2-1-1, and drops Vinny’s Gang to a record of 1-3.
Coming up in week 4, the 2-2 Elvis Impersonators are at Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 30.2-point underdog, while The Wondrful Gazonks are at the 1-3 The Hellfish, where The Hellfish are an early 12-point favorite.
