Squishy Fuzz were led to their 30 point victory by a 25 point effort from Drew Brees, who beat the Oakland Raiders defense for 320 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 7 rushing yards. With this performance, Brees was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 6. They also got help from a 22 point effort from Marion Barber, who snuck past the Arizona Cardinals defense for 45 rushing yards in addition to 128 receiving yards.
“This is the greatest feeling in the world,” Squishy Fuzz coach Scott Stanina said.
Grid Iron Bullies were helped out in a losing cause by a 17 point effort from Kyle Orton, who got by the Atlanta Falcons defense for 286 passing yards and 1 passing td. They also got help from a 11 point effort from Michael Pittman, who beat the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 109 rushing yards in addition to 16 receiving yards.
“You’ve got to hand it to them,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
This brings the record for Squishy Fuzz to 6-1, and drops Grid Iron Bullies to a record of 2-5.
Coming up in week 7, Grid Iron Bullies are at the 2-5 The Hellfish, where The Hellfish are an early 6.6-point favorite, while Squishy Fuzz are at the 1-6 Bad Attitudes, where Bad Attitudes are an early 32.3-point underdog.
