Twee Twerps were led to their 7 point victory by a 30 point effort from Jay Cutler, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 350 passing yards and 4 passing tds in addition to 6 rushing yards. With this performance, Cutler was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 2. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Reggie Bush, who snuck past the Washington Redskins defense for 28 rushing yards in addition to 63 receiving yards.
“This MVP award belongs to the whole team,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.
The Slim Shaggys were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Clinton Portis, who got by the New Orleans Saints defense for 96 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 3 receiving yards. With this performance, Portis was the number 5 ranked running back for week 2. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Plaxico Burress, who got by the St. Louis Rams defense for 81 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.
“We shot ourselves in the foot,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
This brings the record for Twee Twerps to 2-0, and drops The Slim Shaggys to a record of 0-1-1.
Coming up in week 3, The Slim Shaggys are at the 1-0-1 Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 10.5-point favorite, while Twee Twerps are at the 0-1-1 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts, where Hot Buttered Moose Nuts are an early 7.0-point underdog, while The Slim Shaggys are at the 0-2 Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 9-point favorite, while Twee Twerps are at the 1-1 Greasy Weasels, where Greasy Weasels are an early 26-point favorite.
