The Undergarments were led to their 6 point victory by a 17 point effort from Roddy White, who beat the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 119 receiving yards and 1 receiving td. With this performance, White was the number 5 ranked wide receiver for week 3. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Tony Romo, who got by the Green Bay Packers defense for 260 passing yards and 1 passing td.
“We weren’t going to just lie down,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 20 point effort from Matt Forte, who got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 89 rushing yards in addition to 66 receiving yards. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Fred Taylor, who beat the Indianapolis Colts defense for 121 rushing yards in addition to 9 receiving yards.
“The ball just didn’t bounce our way,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Causing further embarrassment, The Hellfish could have scored 85 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Wade Iverson left key players like Donald Driver and his corresponding 7 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Undergarments to 3-1, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 1-3.
