Elvis Impersonators were led to their 17 point victory by a 19 point effort from Kurt Warner, who got by the Buffalo Bills defense for 250 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 10 rushing yards. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Ronnie Brown, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 125 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 8 receiving yards.
“We were really on our game,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
Twee Twerps were helped out in a losing cause by a 20 point effort from Reggie Bush, who snuck past the Minnesota Vikings defense for 29 rushing yards in addition to 64 receiving yards. With this performance, Bush was the number 5 ranked running back for week 5. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Jay Cutler, who got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 227 passing yards and 1 passing td in addition to 16 rushing yards.
“They own us,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.
Compounding the issue, Twee Twerps could have scored 90 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Bob Filipy left key players like T.J. Houshmandzadeh and his corresponding 20 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Elvis Impersonators to 4-2, and drops Twee Twerps to a record of 4-2.
Coming up in week 6, the 2-4 The Hellfish are at Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 17.7-point favorite, while Twee Twerps are at the 2-3-1 The Wondrful Gazonks, where The Wondrful Gazonks are an early 26.3-point underdog.
