Elvis Impersonators (73) at The Slim Shaggys (86)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Oct 20, 2008) In a week 7 UFFLE intra-divisional rivalry, The Slim Shaggys beat a strong Elvis Impersonators team by a score of 86 to 73, extending the winning streak for The Slim Shaggys to 3 games.

The Slim Shaggys were led to their 13 point victory by a 23 point effort from Clinton Portis, who beat the Cleveland Browns defense for 175 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 8 receiving yards. With this performance, Portis was the number 5 ranked running back for week 7. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Ben Roethlisberger, who got by the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 216 passing yards and 2 passing tds.

“We finally got the monkey off our backs,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.

Elvis Impersonators were helped out in a losing cause by a 18 point effort from Owen Daniels, who snuck past the Detroit Lions defense for 66 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds. With this performance, Daniels was the number 1 ranked tight end for week 7. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Steve Slaton, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 80 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 9 receiving yards.

“I take full responsibility for this loss,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.

This brings the record for The Slim Shaggys to 3-4-1, and drops Elvis Impersonators to a record of 5-3.

Coming up in week 8, the 2-6 The Hellfish are at Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 18.8-point favorite, while The Slim Shaggys are at the 2-6 Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 9.9-point underdog.
