Grid Iron Bullies were led to their 28 point victory by a 23 point effort from Peyton Manning, who got by the Tennessee Titans defense for 223 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 1 rushing yards. With this performance, Manning was the number 5 ranked quarterback for week 8. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Kevin Faulk, who snuck past the St. Louis Rams defense for 60 rushing yards in addition to 47 receiving yards.
“This MVP award belongs to the whole team,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Hot Buttered Moose Nuts were helped out in a losing cause by a 12 point effort from Eli Manning, who snuck past the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 199 passing yards and 1 passing td. They also got help from a 10 point effort from Dwayne Bowe, who beat the New York Jets defense for 102 receiving yards.
“They outplayed us in every phase of the game,” Hot Buttered Moose Nuts coach Jeremy Griffith said.
This brings the record for Grid Iron Bullies to 4-5, and drops Hot Buttered Moose Nuts to a record of 1-7-1.
