(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Oct 27, 2008) In a week 8 UFFLE matchup, The Wondrful Gazonks beat a strong Greasy Weasels team by a score of 108 to 87, silencing a partisan crowd of 69,792.

The Wondrful Gazonks were led to their 21 point victory by a 32 point effort from Brian Westbrook, who beat the Atlanta Falcons defense for 167 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 42 receiving yards. With this performance, Westbrook was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 8. They also got help from a 21 point effort from Anquan Boldin, who snuck past the Carolina Panthers defense for 63 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds in addition to 30 rushing yards.

“We knew we had to defend our home turf,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.

Greasy Weasels were helped out in a losing cause by a 26 point effort from Philip Rivers, who beat the New Orleans Saints defense for 341 passing yards and 3 passing tds. With this performance, Rivers was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 8. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Chris Johnson, who got by the Indianapolis Colts defense for 77 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 19 receiving yards.

“They wanted it more than we did,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.

Greasy Weasels drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 9 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 8.

This brings the record for The Wondrful Gazonks to 4-4-1, and drops Greasy Weasels to a record of 3-6.

Coming up in week 9, the 2-7 Bad Attitudes are at Greasy Weasels, where Greasy Weasels are an early 21.9-point favorite, while The Wondrful Gazonks are at the 1-7-1 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts, where Hot Buttered Moose Nuts are an early 2.6-point underdog.
