Grid Iron Bullies were led to their 1 point victory by a 22 point effort from Peyton Manning, who beat the Houston Texans defense for 320 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 1 rushing yards. With this performance, Manning was the number 3 ranked quarterback for week 11. They also got help from a 7 point effort from John Kasay, who snuck past the Detroit Lions defense for 1 field goals made and 4 extra points.
“I’m happy I could make a contribution,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
The Undergarments were helped out in a losing cause by a 15 point effort from Ladainian Tomlinson, who snuck past the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 57 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 45 receiving yards. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Tony Romo, who snuck past the Washington Redskins defense for 198 passing yards and 1 passing td.
“We weren’t mentally prepared,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
Adding salt to the wound, The Undergarments could have scored 70 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Eric Overgaard left key players like Ted Ginn Jr. and his corresponding 15 points on the bench.
Grid Iron Bullies took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 11 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 11.
This brings the record for Grid Iron Bullies to 5-8, and drops The Undergarments to a record of 7-6.
