Squishy Fuzz were led to their 2 point victory by a 28 point effort from Drew Brees, who beat the Green Bay Packers defense for 323 passing yards and 4 passing tds. With this performance, Brees was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 12. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Marshawn Lynch, who got by the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 79 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 25 receiving yards.
“We weren’t going to just lie down,” Squishy Fuzz coach Scott Stanina said.
The Wondrful Gazonks were helped out in a losing cause by a 23 point effort from Tyler Thigpen, who got by the Buffalo Bills defense for 240 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 29 rushing yards. They also got help from a 15 point effort from the Baltimore Ravens Defensive Team.
“Turnovers killed us,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.
Causing further embarrassment, The Wondrful Gazonks could have scored 92 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Josh Vadnais left key players like Sammy Morris and his corresponding 4 points on the bench.
The Wondrful Gazonks drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 11 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 12.
This brings the record for Squishy Fuzz to 12-2-1, and drops The Wondrful Gazonks to a record of 7-7-1.
