The Hellfish were led to their 3 point victory by a 28 point effort from Philip Rivers, who tore apart the Baltimore Ravens defense for 436 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 10 rushing yards. With this performance, Rivers was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 2. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Reggie Bush, who snuck past the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 33 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 42 receiving yards.
“I’m happy I could make a contribution,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Hot Buttered Moose Nuts were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Peyton Manning, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 303 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 3 rushing yards. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Chad Ochocinco, who got by the Green Bay Packers defense for 91 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.
“It just wasn’t meant to be,” Hot Buttered Moose Nuts coach Jeremy Griffith said.
Adding salt to the wound, Hot Buttered Moose Nuts could have scored 90 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Jeremy Griffith left key players like Eli Manning and his corresponding 22 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Hellfish to 1-1, and drops Hot Buttered Moose Nuts to a record of 0-2.
