Grid Iron Bullies were led to their 3 point victory by a 24 point effort from Kerry Collins, who got by the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 284 passing yards and 1 passing td in addition to 10 rushing yards. With this performance, Collins was the number 3 ranked quarterback for week 4. They also got help from a 19 point effort from Matt Forte, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 121 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 19 receiving yards.
“We managed to eke out a win,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Bad Attitudes were helped out in a losing cause by a 25 point effort from Steve Smith, who beat the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 134 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds. With this performance, Smith was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 4. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Kevin Smith, who snuck past the Chicago Bears defense for 30 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 21 receiving yards.
“We didn’t get the job done,” Bad Attitudes coach Steve Spickenreuther said.
Compounding the issue, Bad Attitudes could have scored 92 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Steve Spickenreuther left key players like Sidney Rice and his corresponding 13 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Grid Iron Bullies to 2-3, and drops Bad Attitudes to a record of 2-3.
Coming up in week 5, the 1-4 Squishy Fuzz are at Bad Attitudes, where Bad Attitudes are an early 22.8-point favorite, while the 2-3 The Undergarments are at Grid Iron Bullies, where Grid Iron Bullies are an early 2.4-point underdog.
