New Rules for 2012

The votes are in! Here are the new rules for 2012 that have been voted on:

  • By a vote of 9 to 1, we got new keeper rules.
    Rule 1: Keeper Rules– Kept players will be able to be kept for three years regardless of team. Each year a player is kept his keeper number will increases by one. Keepers can always be traded, but will be limited on how many times their new team can keep them based on their keeper number. This guarantees that keepers will be back in the draft after three season. Also the rule that players can only be kept three times lifetime per team will be abolished.
  • By a vote of 6 to 4, decimal scoring was voted down.
    Rule 2: Decimal Scoring– Decimal scoring will be used only to break ties.
  • By a vote of 5 to 4, the number of IR spots stays the same.
    Rule 3: IR Spots– The number of IR spots will be 5.
  • By a vote of 5 to 4, there will be no more double-headers.
    Rule 4: Double-header Weeks– There will be no more double-header weeks. The schedule will be 13 weeks long with every team playing every other team once.
