Grid Iron Bullies were led to their 2 point victory by a 24 point effort from Julio Jones, who tore apart the St. Louis Rams defense for 182 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Jones was the number 3 ranked wide receiver for week 2. They also got help from a 22 point effort from Andrew Luck, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 321 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 38 rushing yards.
“We’re going to savor this victory,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Hot Buttered Moose Nuts were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Peyton Manning, who beat the New York Giants defense for 307 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Matt Forte, who got by the Minnesota Vikings defense for 90 rushing yards in addition to 71 receiving yards.
“It’s going to be a long plane ride home,” Hot Buttered Moose Nuts coach Jeremy Griffith said.
Compounding the issue, Hot Buttered Moose Nuts could have scored 104 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Jeremy Griffith left key players like Kendall Wright and his corresponding 11 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Grid Iron Bullies to 2-0, and drops Hot Buttered Moose Nuts to a record of 1-1.
