Elvis Impersonators were led to their 1 point victory by a 24 point effort from Ryan Tannehill, who tore apart the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 359 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 17 rushing yards. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Jamaal Charles, who beat the Denver Broncos defense for 125 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 2 receiving yards.
“It was a hard-fought contest,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
The Wondrful Gazonks were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Carson Palmer, who snuck past the Chicago Bears defense for 185 passing yards and 4 passing TDs. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Latavius Murray, who snuck past the Baltimore Ravens defense for 65 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 22 receiving yards.
“I take full responsibility for this loss,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.
This brings the record for Elvis Impersonators to 2-0, and drops The Wondrful Gazonks to a record of 0-2.
