The Hellfish were led to their 10 point victory by a 32 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who beat the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 333 passing yards and 5 passing TDs in addition to 16 rushing yards. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 3. They also got help from a 20 point effort from Jeremy Maclin, who beat the Green Bay Packers defense for 141 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“This team shows a lot of poise,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Z-Squad were helped out in a losing cause by a 28 point effort from Randall Cobb, who got by the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 91 receiving yards and 3 receiving TDs in addition to 12 rushing yards. With this performance, Cobb was the number 3 ranked wide receiver for week 3. They also got help from a 24 point effort from Adrian Peterson, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 126 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs.
“We shot ourselves in the foot,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
Causing further embarrassment, Z-Squad could have scored 120 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Michael Grosz left key players like LeGarrette Blount and his corresponding 26 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Hellfish to 2-1, and drops Z-Squad to a record of 2-1.
