(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Nov 5, 2018) In a week 9 UFFLE matchup, Z-Squad squeaked by a tough Squishy Fuzz team by a score of 77 to 70, extending the winning streak for Z-Squad to 3 games.
Z-Squad were led to their 7 point victory by a 30 point effort from Jared Goff, who tore apart the New Orleans Saints defense for 391 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 17 rushing yards. With this performance, Goff was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 9. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Brandin Cooks, who beat the New Orleans Saints defense for 114 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“This win was no fluke,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
Squishy Fuzz were helped out in a losing cause by a 18 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the New England Patriots defense for 259 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 8 rushing yards. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Jordan Howard, who snuck past the Buffalo Bills defense for 47 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs.
“It’s been a great ride,” Squishy Fuzz coach Scott Stanina said.
Adding salt to the wound, Squishy Fuzz could have scored 81 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Scott Stanina left key players like Marcus Mariota and his corresponding 27 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Z-Squad to 6-2-1, and drops Squishy Fuzz to a record of 1-8.
Coming up in week 10, the 6-3 Vinny’s Gang are at Squishy Fuzz, where Squishy Fuzz are an early 30.3-point underdog, while the 3-6 Bad Attitudes are at Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 8-point favorite.
