Greasy Weasels (75) at Vinny’s Gang (73)
(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Dec 10, 2018) In a week 14 UFFLE battle, Greasy Weasels squeaked by a tough Vinny’s Gang team by a score of 75 to 73, extending the winning streak for Greasy Weasels to 3 games.
Greasy Weasels were led to their 2 point victory by a 15 point effort from Aaron Jones, who got by the Atlanta Falcons defense for 78 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 28 receiving yards. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Cam Newton, who got by the Cleveland Browns defense for 265 passing yards in addition to 23 rushing yards.
“We’ll use this win as a stepping stone to the next level,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Vinny’s Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 19 point effort from Deshaun Watson, who got by the Indianapolis Colts defense for 267 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 35 rushing yards. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Tyreek Hill, who beat the Baltimore Ravens defense for 139 receiving yards in addition to 6 rushing yards.
“They stepped up and made the plays,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
Adding salt to the wound, Vinny’s Gang could have scored 98 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Jon Steffan left key players like Austin Ekeler and his corresponding 14 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 8-5, and drops Vinny’s Gang to a record of 8-5.
Coming up in week 15, Greasy Weasels are at the 8-4-1 Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 6.5-point underdog.
