(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Oct 11, 2021) In a week 5 UFFLE battle, the 4-1 Squishy Fuzz squeaked by a disappointing 1-4 Greasy Weasels team by a score of 116.95 to 116.55, silencing a partisan crowd of 75,831 at The Grease Pit.
Squishy Fuzz were led to their 0.40 point victory by a 32.10 point effort from Davante Adams, who tore apart the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 206 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Adams was the number 2 ranked wide receiver for week 5. They also got help from a 21.25 point effort from Matthew Stafford, who tore apart the Seattle Seahawks defense for 365 passing yards and 1 passing TD.
“We’ll use this win as a stepping stone to the next level,” Squishy Fuzz coach Scott Stanina said.
Greasy Weasels were helped out in a losing cause by a 30.40 point effort from Jonathan Taylor, who snuck past the Baltimore Ravens defense for 53 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 116 receiving yards. With this performance, Taylor was the number 3 ranked running back for week 5. They also got help from a 24.90 point effort from Ja’Marr Chase, who beat the Green Bay Packers defense for 159 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“They’ve had our number all season,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Adding salt to the wound, Greasy Weasels could have scored 143.60 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mason Mannie left key players like Davis Mills and his corresponding 24.80 points on the bench.
Greasy Weasels drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 10 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 5.
This brings the record for Squishy Fuzz to 4-1, and drops Greasy Weasels to a record of 1-4.
