“We’re going to use this win as a building block,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 20.60 point effort from Saquon Barkley, who got by the Dallas Cowboys defense for 81 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 45 receiving yards. With this performance, Barkley was the number 5 ranked running back for week 3. They also got help from a 15.90 point effort from Travis Kelce, who snuck past the Indianapolis Colts defense for 58 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD in addition to 1 rushing yards.
“We didn’t get the big breaks today,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Adding salt to the wound, The Hellfish could have scored 110.10 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Wade Iverson left key players like Russell Gage and his corresponding 20.70 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 3-0, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 1-2.
