The Slim Shaggys were led to their 0.75 point victory by a 33.80 point effort from Deebo Samuel, who beat the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 116 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs in addition to 22 rushing yards. With this performance, Samuel was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 13. They also got help from a 29.60 point effort from Nico Collins, who tore apart the Denver Broncos defense for 191 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“I want to thank my Lord and Savior,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
Vinny’s Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 27.25 point effort from Dak Prescott, who got by the Seattle Seahawks defense for 299 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 23 rushing yards. With this performance, Prescott was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 13. They also got help from a 26.60 point effort from CeeDee Lamb, who beat the Seattle Seahawks defense for 116 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD in addition to 30 rushing yards.
“The best team won today,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
Causing further embarrassment, Vinny’s Gang could have scored 127.25 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Jon Steffan left key players like Jonathan Mingo and his corresponding 9.90 points on the bench.
Vinny’s Gang drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 11 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 13.
This brings the record for The Slim Shaggys to 4-9, and drops Vinny’s Gang to a record of 9-4.
Coming up in week 14, The Slim Shaggys are at the 3-10 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts, where Hot Buttered Moose Nuts are an early 2.2-point favorite, while Vinny’s Gang are at the 6-7 Squishy Fuzz, where Squishy Fuzz are an early 34.3-point underdog.
