Hot Buttered Moose Nuts were led to their 2 point victory by a 20 point effort from Brandon Weeden, who got by the Indianapolis Colts defense for 264 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 13 rushing yards. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Marques Colston, who snuck past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 73 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“We’re happy we could pull this one out at the end,” Hot Buttered Moose Nuts coach Jeremy Griffith said.
San Quentin Saints were helped out in a losing cause by a 15 point effort from the Minnesota Vikings Defensive Team. With this performance, the Vikings was the number 1 ranked defensive team for week 7. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Matt Hasselbeck, who got by the Buffalo Bills defense for 205 passing yards and 1 passing TD.
“It’s going to be a long plane ride home,” San Quentin Saints coach Sean Boggess said.
Causing further embarrassment, San Quentin Saints could have scored 75 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Sean Boggess left key players like Miles Austin and his corresponding 15 points on the bench.
Hot Buttered Moose Nuts took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 9 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 7.
