Bad Attitudes were led to their 4 point victory by a 23 point effort from Drew Brees, who got by the Carolina Panthers defense for 297 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 2 rushing yards. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Rob Gronkowski, who beat the Denver Broncos defense for 105 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“I’m really proud of the way our guys hung in there,” Bad Attitudes coach Steve Spickenreuther said.
The Undergarments were helped out in a losing cause by a 25 point effort from Marshawn Lynch, who snuck past the Oakland Raiders defense for 67 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 76 receiving yards. With this performance, Lynch was the number 3 ranked running back for week 9. They also got help from a 17 point effort from DeAndre Hopkins, who beat the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 115 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“The final score is the only statistic that matters,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
Adding salt to the wound, The Undergarments could have scored 104 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Overgaard left key players like Teddy Bridgewater and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Bad Attitudes to 8-1, and drops The Undergarments to a record of 4-5.
Coming up in week 10, Bad Attitudes are at the 7-2 Twee Twerps, where Twee Twerps are an early 4.6-point underdog, while The Undergarments are at the 4-5 Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 8.4-point favorite.
