Z-Squad were led to their 6 point victory by a 18 point effort from David Garrard, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 238 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 10 rushing yards. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Reggie Wayne, who beat the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 114 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.
“This team shows a lot of character,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
Twee Twerps were helped out in a losing cause by a 33 point effort from Jay Cutler, who tore apart the Cleveland Browns defense for 447 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 29 rushing yards. With this performance, Cutler was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 10. They also got help from a 8 point effort from Ryan Longwell, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 1 field goals made and 3 extra points.
“My hat’s off to them,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.
Compounding the issue, Twee Twerps could have scored 62 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Bob Filipy left key players like Antonio Pittman and his corresponding 5 points on the bench.
Z-Squad took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 11 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 10.
This brings the record for Z-Squad to 7-2-2, and drops Twee Twerps to a record of 7-3-1.
