October Hunter were led to their 2 point victory by a 16 point effort from Calvin Johnson, who beat the Green Bay Packers defense for 101 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Johnson was the number 5 ranked wide receiver for week 13. They also got help from a 15 point effort from BenJarvus Green-Ellis, who got by the San Diego Chargers defense for 92 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 3 receiving yards.
“We’re tickled to death,” October Hunter coach Orion Bell said.
Elvis Impersonators were helped out in a losing cause by a 24 point effort from Ryan Fitzpatrick, who got by the Indianapolis Colts defense for 201 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 54 rushing yards. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Jamaal Charles, who got by the Denver Broncos defense for 93 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 27 receiving yards.
“It just wasn’t meant to be,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
Adding salt to the wound, Elvis Impersonators could have scored 96 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Brandon Mannie left key players like Keenan Allen and his corresponding 10 points on the bench.
This brings the record for October Hunter to 7-6, and drops Elvis Impersonators to a record of 8-5.
