The Slim Shaggys were led to their 24 point victory by a 25 point effort from Clinton Portis, who beat the St. Louis Rams defense for 129 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 14 receiving yards. With this performance, Portis was the number 4 ranked running back for week 6. They also got help from a 23 point effort from Andre Johnson, who tore apart the Miami Dolphins defense for 178 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.
“We feel fortunate,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
Greasy Weasels were helped out in a losing cause by a 24 point effort from Philip Rivers, who beat the New England Patriots defense for 306 passing yards and 3 passing tds. With this performance, Rivers was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 6. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Greg Jennings, who got by the Seattle Seahawks defense for 84 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.
“They’ve had our number all season,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
This brings the record for The Slim Shaggys to 2-4-1, and drops Greasy Weasels to a record of 2-5.
