(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Sep 22, 2008) In a week 3 UFFLE intra-divisional battle, The Hellfish embarrassed a hapless Vinny’s Gang team by a score of 78 to 43, extending the losing streak for Vinny’s Gang to 3 games.
The Hellfish were led to their 35 point victory by a 20 point effort from Matt Forte, who got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 89 rushing yards in addition to 66 receiving yards. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Fred Taylor, who beat the Indianapolis Colts defense for 121 rushing yards in addition to 9 receiving yards.
“I was just doing my job,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Vinny’s Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Dallas Cowboys defense for 290 passing yards in addition to 10 rushing yards. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 6 ranked quarterback for week 3. They also got help from a 9 point effort from Nick Folk, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 2 field goals made and 3 extra points.
“We weren’t mentally prepared,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
This brings the record for The Hellfish to 1-3, and drops Vinny’s Gang to a record of 1-3.
Coming up in week 4, the 2-2 Elvis Impersonators are at Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 30.2-point underdog, while the 2-1-1 The Wondrful Gazonks are at The Hellfish, where The Hellfish are an early 12-point favorite.
