(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Sep 16, 2019) In a week 2 UFFLE intra-divisional classic, Greasy Weasels squeaked by a tough Z-Squad team by a score of 115 to 105, silencing a partisan crowd of 65,825 at Frozen Tundra.
Greasy Weasels were led to their 10 point victory by a 31 point effort from Lamar Jackson, who got by the Arizona Cardinals defense for 272 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 120 rushing yards. With this performance, Jackson was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 2. They also got help from a 29 point effort from the New England Patriots Defensive Team.
“We were really on our game,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Z-Squad were helped out in a losing cause by a 28 point effort from Dak Prescott, who got by the Washington Redskins defense for 269 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 69 rushing yards. With this performance, Prescott was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 2. They also got help from a 22 point effort from Odell Beckham, who beat the New York Jets defense for 161 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“It’s been a great ride,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
Adding salt to the wound, Z-Squad could have scored 119 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Michael Grosz left key players like Kenny Golladay and his corresponding 17 points on the bench.
Z-Squad drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 10 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 2.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 2-0, and drops Z-Squad to a record of 0-2.
Coming up in week 3, Greasy Weasels are at the 1-1 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts, where Hot Buttered Moose Nuts are an early 54.0-point underdog, while Z-Squad are at the 2-0 Bad Attitudes, where Bad Attitudes are an early 11.0-point underdog.
