(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Oct 19, 2020) In a week 6 UFFLE clash, the 3-3 Greasy Weasels squeaked by a mediocre 3-3 The Slim Shaggys team by a score of 104 to 99, silencing a partisan crowd of 74,222 at Shags house of Slam.
Greasy Weasels were led to their 5 point victory by a 28 point effort from Lamar Jackson, who snuck past the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 186 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 108 rushing yards. With this performance, Jackson was the number 5 ranked quarterback for week 6. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Travis Kelce, who snuck past the Buffalo Bills defense for 65 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs.
“We finally got the monkey off our backs,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
The Slim Shaggys were helped out in a losing cause by a 28 point effort from Kenyan Drake, who beat the Dallas Cowboys defense for 164 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs. With this performance, Drake was the number 2 ranked running back for week 6. They also got help from a 20 point effort from Patrick Mahomes, who got by the Buffalo Bills defense for 225 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 36 rushing yards.
“This is a bitter pill to swallow,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
Compounding the issue, The Slim Shaggys could have scored 126 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mark Olson left key players like Philip Rivers and his corresponding 27 points on the bench.
The Slim Shaggys drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 6.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 3-3, and drops The Slim Shaggys to a record of 3-3.
