(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Nov 9, 2020) In a week 9 UFFLE intra-divisional contest, the 2-7 October Hunters squeaked by a disappointing 3-6 The Hellfish team by a score of 73 to 72, silencing a partisan crowd of 78,553.
October Hunters were led to their 1 point victory by a 20 point effort from D.J. Chark, who beat the Houston Texans defense for 146 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Chark was the number 5 ranked wide receiver for week 9. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Derek Carr, who snuck past the Los Angeles Chargers defense for 165 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 14 rushing yards.
“This team has finally learned how to win,” October Hunters coach Orion Bell said.
The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 23 point effort from Davante Adams, who beat the San Francisco 49ers defense for 173 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Adams was the number 2 ranked wide receiver for week 9. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Daniel Jones, who got by the Washington FootballTeam defense for 212 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 4 rushing yards.
“We weren’t mentally prepared,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Adding salt to the wound, The Hellfish could have scored 100 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Wade Iverson left key players like Christian Kirk and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.
This brings the record for October Hunters to 2-7, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 3-6.
Coming up in week 10, The Hellfish are at the 7-2 Pickled Harrons, where Pickled Harrons are an early 15-point favorite, while October Hunters are at the 5-4 Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 12-point favorite.
