(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Nov 23, 2020) In a week 11 UFFLE matchup, the 7-4 Vinny’s Gang squeaked by a mediocre 5-6 Greasy Weasels team by a score of 89 to 88, extending their winning streak to 3 games.
Vinny’s Gang were led to their 1 point victory by a 28 point effort from Justin Herbert, who tore apart the New York Jets defense for 366 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 11 rushing yards. With this performance, Herbert was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 11. They also got help from a 19 point effort from Derrick Henry, who beat the Baltimore Ravens defense for 133 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD.
“This team shows a lot of poise,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
Greasy Weasels were helped out in a losing cause by a 19 point effort from Robert Woods, who beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 130 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Woods was the number 4 ranked wide receiver for week 11. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Lamar Jackson, who snuck past the Tennessee Titans defense for 186 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 51 rushing yards.
“It just wasn’t meant to be,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Causing further embarrassment, Greasy Weasels could have scored 99 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mason Mannie left key players like Ben Roethlisberger and his corresponding 19 points on the bench.
Greasy Weasels drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 11.
This brings the record for Vinny’s Gang to 7-4, and drops Greasy Weasels to a record of 5-6.
