Pickled Harrons were led to their 1.55 point victory by a 14.90 point effort from Alvin Kamara, who snuck past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 51 rushing yards in addition to 33 receiving yards. They also got help from a 11.30 point effort from DeVonta Smith, who got by the Washington Commanders defense for 78 receiving yards.
“I was just doing my job,” Pickled Harrons coach Cooper Harron said.
October Hunters were helped out in a losing cause by a 23.90 point effort from Josh Jacobs, who snuck past the Los Angeles Chargers defense for 58 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 81 receiving yards. With this performance, Jacobs was the number 5 ranked running back for week 4. They also got help from a 14.50 point effort from Jared Goff, who got by the Green Bay Packers defense for 210 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 10 rushing yards.
“We beat ourselves,” October Hunters coach Orion Bell said.
Adding salt to the wound, October Hunters could have scored 124.50 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Orion Bell left key players like Michael Wilson and his corresponding 23.10 points on the bench.
Pickled Harrons took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 10 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 4.
This brings the record for Pickled Harrons to 2-2, and drops October Hunters to a record of 0-4.
