Z-Squad were led to their 2 point victory by a 23 point effort from Mark Ingram, who beat the Green Bay Packers defense for 172 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 3 receiving yards. With this performance, Ingram was the number 4 ranked running back for week 8. They also got help from a 21 point effort from Brandin Cooks, who got by the Green Bay Packers defense for 94 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD in addition to 4 rushing yards.
“I’m really proud of the way our guys hung in there,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
Greasy Weasels were helped out in a losing cause by a 27 point effort from Nick Foles, who tore apart the Arizona Cardinals defense for 411 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 14 rushing yards. With this performance, Foles was the number 5 ranked quarterback for week 8. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Le’Veon Bell, who got by the Indianapolis Colts defense for 92 rushing yards in addition to 56 receiving yards.
“My hat’s off to them,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Adding salt to the wound, Greasy Weasels could have scored 92 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mason Mannie left key players like Keenan Allen and his corresponding 13 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Z-Squad to 2-6, and drops Greasy Weasels to a record of 7-1.
