Z-Squad (77) at Vinny’s Gang (57)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Nov 17, 2008) In a week 11 UFFLE showdown, Z-Squad beat a strong Vinny’s Gang team by a score of 77 to 57, extending the winning streak for Z-Squad to 4 games.

Z-Squad were led to their 20 point victory by a 22 point effort from Frank Gore, who beat the St. Louis Rams defense for 106 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 8 receiving yards. With this performance, Gore was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 11. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Lance Moore, who beat the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 102 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.

“We really took it to ’em,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.

Vinny’s Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 17 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 227 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 1 rushing yards. They also got help from a 9 point effort from Donnie Avery, who got by the San Francisco 49ers defense for 93 receiving yards.

“They just made the big plays and we didn’t,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.

This brings the record for Z-Squad to 9-2-2, and drops Vinny’s Gang to a record of 3-9-1.

Coming up in week 12, Z-Squad are at the 9-4 Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 10.6-point favorite, while the 5-8 Grid Iron Bullies are at Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 1.0-point underdog, while Vinny’s Gang are at the 6-7 Greasy Weasels, where Greasy Weasels are an early 22-point favorite, while Z-Squad are at the 3-10 The Hellfish, where The Hellfish are an early 12.3-point underdog.
