(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Oct 28, 2019) In a week 8 UFFLE intra-divisional rivalry, Squishy Fuzz squeaked by a tough October Hunters team by a score of 94 to 91, behind the support of 71,056 faithful fans.
Squishy Fuzz were led to their 3 point victory by a 33 point effort from Aaron Jones, who snuck past the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 67 rushing yards in addition to 159 receiving yards. With this performance, Jones was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 8. They also got help from a 19 point effort from Andy Dalton, who beat the Los Angeles Rams defense for 329 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 4 rushing yards.
“We sent a message here today,” Squishy Fuzz coach Scott Stanina said.
October Hunters were helped out in a losing cause by a 26 point effort from Matthew Stafford, who beat the New York Giants defense for 342 passing yards and 3 passing TDs. With this performance, Stafford was the number 6 ranked quarterback for week 8. They also got help from a 19 point effort from Saquon Barkley, who snuck past the Detroit Lions defense for 64 rushing yards in addition to 79 receiving yards.
“There were too many defensive lapses,” October Hunters coach Orion Bell said.
Causing further embarrassment, October Hunters could have scored 100 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Orion Bell left key players like Evan Engram and his corresponding 10 points on the bench.
October Hunters drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 8.
This brings the record for Squishy Fuzz to 1-7, and drops October Hunters to a record of 4-4.
Coming up in week 9, Squishy Fuzz are at the 6-2 Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 3.8-point underdog, while October Hunters are at the 3-5 The Hellfish, where The Hellfish are an early 20.8-point underdog.
