(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Nov 25, 2019) In a week 12 UFFLE intra-divisional showdown, The Slim Shaggys beat a strong October Hunters team by a score of 96 to 69, behind the support of 72,331 faithful fans at Shags house of Slam.
The Slim Shaggys were led to their 27 point victory by a 28 point effort from Sam Darnold, who beat the Oakland Raiders defense for 315 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 16 rushing yards. With this performance, Darnold was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 12. They also got help from a 27 point effort from Leonard Fournette, who got by the Tennessee Titans defense for 97 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 62 receiving yards.
“We sent a message here today,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
October Hunters were helped out in a losing cause by a 23 point effort from Mark Ingram, who beat the Los Angeles Rams defense for 111 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 7 receiving yards. With this performance, Ingram was the number 4 ranked running back for week 12. They also got help from a 20 point effort from Josh Allen, who snuck past the Denver Broncos defense for 185 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 56 rushing yards.
“Turnovers killed us,” October Hunters coach Orion Bell said.
Compounding the issue, October Hunters could have scored 102 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Orion Bell left key players like D.J. Moore and his corresponding 24 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Slim Shaggys to 7-5, and drops October Hunters to a record of 5-7.
Coming up in week 13, October Hunters are at the 9-3 Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 16-point favorite, while The Slim Shaggys are at the 9-3 Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 11.7-point favorite.
