Hot Buttered Moose Nuts were led to their 3 point victory by a 28 point effort from Peyton Manning, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 330 passing yards and 4 passing TDs. With this performance, Manning was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 10. They also got help from a 22 point effort from Pierre Thomas, who got by the Dallas Cowboys defense for 87 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 24 receiving yards.
“We’re not going to rest on our laurels,” Hot Buttered Moose Nuts coach Jeremy Griffith said.
Vinny’s Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 28 point effort from Demaryius Thomas, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 108 receiving yards and 3 receiving TDs. With this performance, Thomas was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 10. They also got help from a 19 point effort from Matthew Stafford, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 219 passing yards and 3 passing TDs.
“They outplayed us in every phase of the game,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
Compounding the issue, Vinny’s Gang could have scored 100 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Jon Steffan left key players like Nick Foles and his corresponding 23 points on the bench.
Vinny’s Gang drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 10 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 10.
This brings the record for Hot Buttered Moose Nuts to 7-3, and drops Vinny’s Gang to a record of 6-4.
