Vinny’s Gang (45) at The Slim Shaggys (90)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Nov 10, 2008) In a week 10 UFFLE intra-divisional battle, The Slim Shaggys embarrassed a hapless Vinny’s Gang team by a score of 90 to 45, behind the support of 65,995 faithful fans.

The Slim Shaggys were led to their 45 point victory by a 27 point effort from Maurice Jones-Drew, who snuck past the Detroit Lions defense for 70 rushing yards and 3 rushing tds in addition to 21 receiving yards. With this performance, Jones-Drew was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 10. They also got help from a 20 point effort from DeAngelo Williams, who beat the Oakland Raiders defense for 140 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 3 receiving yards.

“We weren’t going to just lie down,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.

Vinny’s Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 28 point effort from Adrian Peterson, who tore apart the Green Bay Packers defense for 192 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 33 receiving yards. With this performance, Peterson was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 10. They also got help from a 7 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who snuck past the Minnesota Vikings defense for 142 passing yards in addition to 1 rushing yards.

“Our defense was a non-factor,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.

This brings the record for The Slim Shaggys to 4-4-3, and drops Vinny’s Gang to a record of 3-7-1.

Coming up in week 11, the 7-4 Elvis Impersonators are at Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 24.4-point underdog, while The Slim Shaggys are at the 1-9-1 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts, where Hot Buttered Moose Nuts are an early 11.0-point underdog, while The Slim Shaggys are at the 3-8 The Hellfish, where The Hellfish are an early 7.1-point underdog, while the 7-2-2 Z-Squad are at Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 14.0-point underdog.
